Femme Noire Vol 3
In our third installment of Femme Noire we explore love in all its different forms. This issue of Femme was even more meaningful because of the climate out of which it was born. On April 18, the student body at Syracuse University was up in arms because of the release of a racist, sexist, homophobic, ablelist AND anti-semitic video of members of the professional fraternity, Theta Tau. Naturally protests emerged and the students demanded the fraternity to be expelled and for the university to be held accountable. This issue couldn't have been more relevant. While we are rightfully angry, we are also tired and hurt. And it is important to remember to care for our wounded hearts. The most obvious reaction is to be angry... but what about something even more radical. What about love? Volume 3: The Love Issue is about making sense of everything going on around us through the lens and gaze of love.
